The Tennessee Titans have made a significant move to enhance their wide receiver group by reuniting first-year coach Brian Callahan with a familiar face, Tyler Boyd. According to a person familiar with the deal, Tennessee has agreed to a one-year contract with Boyd worth up to $4.5 million.

Boyd, who spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Titans' offense. His reunion with Callahan, who served as the Bengals' offensive coordinator during Boyd's tenure in Cincinnati, adds a level of familiarity and chemistry to the team.

The 29-year-old wide receiver visited Tennessee last week, and although an agreement was not reached at the time, negotiations continued until a deal was finalized. Boyd took to social media to express his excitement, writing "Titan up" on Tuesday afternoon.

Selected as the 55th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh, Boyd has established himself as a reliable and productive receiver in the league. With 513 career catches for 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns, he brings a proven track record of success to the Titans' offense.

Last season, Boyd recorded 67 receptions for 667 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to contribute consistently in the passing game. His addition to the Titans' receiving corps provides quarterback Ryan Tannehill with another reliable target to bolster the team's aerial attack.

Boyd joins Calvin Ridley, who was signed by the Titans in March, in adding depth and competition to the wide receiver group. With Treylon Burks and tight end Chig Okonkwo also in the mix, Tennessee's offense is poised for improvement after ranking 29th in the NFL in total yards per game last season.
