Reports indicate that Anthony Kim, a former three-time PGA Tour winner, is on the brink of a professional golf comeback with LIV Golf. Despite not competing for 12 years, the 38-year-old is set to make his return at the upcoming LIV Golf Jeddah event, as revealed by multiple sources.

Kim, who last played on the PGA Tour in 2012, underwent surgery on his left Achilles tendon following the Wells Fargo Championship of that year. NBC Sports reported on Saturday that Kim has been in discussions with both PGA Tour and LIV Golf officials regarding his potential return to competitive golf.

Should Kim decide to resume his professional career, he would forego an insurance policy valued at approximately $10 million that he secured during his previous tenure on the tour. LIV Golf's revamped format includes two wild-card players per event, with Kim reportedly set to occupy one of those slots. In 2024, each LIV Golf event will feature 13 teams consisting of four players each, along with two wild cards. These wild-card entries will have the opportunity to accumulate points individually, potentially earning them a place on a LIV Golf team.

The LIV Golf Jeddah tournament is scheduled to take place from March 1-3 at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Saudi Arabia. News of Kim's anticipated comeback was initially reported by Golf Channel/NBC, with Field Level Media contributing to the coverage.
