McIlroy emerged victorious in his second appearance at the televised charity event, capturing 10 skins across 12 holes and clinching the sudden-death closest-to-the-pin challenge to secure $2.4 million for charity.

"I've played pretty well tonight and hit some pretty good shots," remarked McIlroy. "Hopefully that carries over into the next few days as well."

Thompson secured second place with two skins, earning $200,000 for charity. Unfortunately, Homa and Zhang were unable to secure any skins.
