The competition proved fierce, with Nacho Elvira and England's Joe Dean finishing tied for second place at 12-under par. Van Driel's journey to victory was particularly notable, considering he had lost his tour card the previous year. However, his determination and perseverance led him to successfully navigate Q-school and earn his spot in the 2024 season.

Reflecting on his triumph, Van Driel expressed profound emotion, describing the win as a dream come true. Despite facing challenges along the way, he maintained his focus and remained composed throughout the tournament. His victory at the Kenya Open marks a significant milestone in his career, underscoring his resilience and talent on the golf course.

Notably, Van Driel had already showcased his potential earlier in the season with two top-10 finishes. His wire-to-wire victory at the Kenya Open solidifies his status as a formidable competitor on the DP World Tour, setting a remarkable precedent for the 2024 campaign.
